About

Welcome to International Relations, Politics and History at Loughborough

Dr Alexandre Christoyannopoulos

Students and Staff in the Department of International Relations, Politics and History form a vibrant community of scholars, undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and doctoral researchers. We provide a first-class education for all, which is suffused with our cutting-edge research and policy insights.

We offer a variety of degrees across International Relations, Politics and History, and conduct research with a wide range of stakeholders including NGOs, British government institutions, and NATO. Students work with world class researchers in their specialist modules and dissertations and each student is assigned a personal tutor to provide individual support. Assessment is an exciting mix of essays, presentations, policy memo writing and group work.

Our students are eligible to spend a year studying abroad or completing a work placement in government or industry.  Previous study exchange destinations have included Germany, France, Canada, and Singapore. Visiting speakers and an excellent careers service are also part of how we prepare students for the world of work.

We hope very much that you will consider joining our community as part of the Loughborough family.
