Have a fun-filled afternoon at LSU’s Community Fun Day
Loughborough Students’ Union will be holding its annual Community Fun Day this Sunday (20 May) - and everyone is invited to come along and enjoy animals, crafts, games and more!
The free event will take place from 12pm-4pm and has an exciting programme of fun activities suitable for all the family.
There’ll be face-painting, a bouncy castle, bracelet-making, balloon modelling and a small fun fair on offer plus Nottinghamshire’s popular White Post Farm will be in attendance with some of their furry friends.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service’s fire engine is also back by popular demand as are traditional garden fete games such as the Coconut Shy, which will be available for a small charge.
Some of the Union’s societies will also be keeping audiences entertained at the Fun Day; whether it’s practising circus skills with LSU Fever, watching shows by the Stage Society or enjoying a performance from the Hum Hey Hindustani dancers, there will be something for everyone!
The afternoon will be held on the lawns outside the Students’ Union and the Hazlerigg and Rutland buildings (weather permitting).
In the case of poor weather conditions, the event will take place inside the Students’ Union.
Anna Milewska, Loughborough Students’ Union Action Executive Officer, commented: “Every year, the Community Fun day is run by our dedicated student volunteers who help to plan and organise the event from beginning to end.
“This year, over 70 students have volunteered their time and without them we couldn’t do this.
“The day is a fantastic event for both students and families in the local community to come together and have fun and we can’t wait to see everyone there!”
