Updated EAP package now available for staff

The University has renewed its partnership with Health Assured to offer staff an updated Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) service.

An EAP is a confidential employee benefit designed to help you deal with personal and professional problems that could be affecting your home life or work life, health and general wellbeing.

What’s included in the EAP?

Health Assured is an independent and confidential service led by experts and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, both online and over the phone for you and your immediate family members*.

Our package now also includes access to in-person counselling sessions which take place off-campus with counsellors in the local area.

Below is a comprehensive (but not exhaustive) list of the different areas Health Assured can support you with:

  • Life support: Unlimited access to a counselling helpline and a pathway to structured counselling if clinically indicated.
  • Management guidance: Managing staff wellbeing can be rewarding and at times stressful. You can utilise these support services when difficult matters arise.
  • Legal information: For any issues that cause anxiety or distress including debt management, accountancy, lawsuits, consumer disputes, property or neighbour legalities.
  • Bereavement support: Health Assured offers qualified and experienced counsellors who can help with grief and related stress plus a team of legal advisors to help with legal issues.
  • Medical information: Signposting to trusted websites is provided.

You can call Health Assured on 0800 028 0199.

Wisdom: Wellbeing portal and mobile app

Staff also have access to the revitalised wellbeing portal which helps you track your wellness, improve your mental health, and stay resilient during tough times.
