Equipment - Markforged Mark Two Printer for 3D Printing

The Markforged Mark Two, is a desktop Composite Filament Fabrication (CFF)™ 3D printer that allows printing of carbon fiber, Kevlar, fiberglass and also high temperature fiberglass. The AMRG group currently owns one Markforged Mark Two printer which is used for student teaching as well as student projects.

The Markforged Mark Two supports dual extrusion and uses Eiger, a browser based software to slice 3D models into layers which are then printed layer-by-layer onto a build platform using Onyx, Carbon Fibre, Fibreglass, Nylon, Kevlar and High-Temp Fibreglass. The part needs to be manually removed from the build platform.
