Flament completed a dream debut in Paris by scoring a try early in the second half, which turned the tide of the match with Argentina leading 10-9 at that stage. After an intense second half, France came through victorious, winning 29-20.
Flament was playing fly-half in the fifth team at Loughborough in his first year and relocated to Argentina for his placement year, where he played for Club Newman.
On his return from Argentina, he progressed onto the University’s first team where he was scouted for Wasps RFC, a team in England’s top division, Premiership Rugby.
After graduating from Loughborough, he made his debut for French side Stade Toulousain in November 2020.
France’s next match will be against Georgia on 14 November, ahead of their match against New Zealand on 20 November.
Elsewhere, Loughborough student Freddie Steward started at 15 in England’s convincing 69-3 victory versus Tonga at Twickenham to cap off a rewarding sporting weekend for the University.
