Journalist and author Mihir Bose has recently published his newest book, 'Thank You Mr Crombie. Lessons in Guilt and Gratitude to the British', reflecting on his personal experiences of racism, migration and British society since the 1960s.

Alumnus receives President’s Gift
Last month alumnus Duncan Froggatt was awarded the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) President’s Gift 2024. He was awarded by Professor Anusha Shah, President 159 of ICE.

The first of many: two alumni gatherings in Beijing and Chengdu
Last week, two International Alumni Ambassadors organised gatherings for alumni in Beijing and Chengdu in Mainland China. The events were set up to encourage networking and reconnection with each other and the University.

Alumnus launches video game
Asim Yaqoob graduated from the University in 2013 with a BEng in Electronic and Electrical Engineering. He went on to pursue his career and took a position at the UK’s national science laboratories, including the national particle accelerator and the Royal Observatory Edinburgh where he worked in astronomy on space telescopes.
