The Benevolent Fund (ABF) has awarded £10,000 to Fine Art at Loughborough to fund one of the University’s graduates.

The ABF Breakthrough Artist Fellowship, launched in Spring 2024, is a 10-month program running from October 2024 to July 2025. It is designed to support emerging artists in overcoming barriers (such as economic, social, cultural, physical, and mental health barriers) to their professional and creative development.

The fellowship is delivered in partnership with five selected Higher Education Institutions across England and Wales, providing each of the five selected artists with a £10,000 grant, a travel bursary, full-time access to studio space and creative facilities, mentorship, and career development advice.

If you’re interested, you can read about how to apply. Please contact Alumni Relations for an application form and the application guidelines.

This opportunity is open to alumni who graduated in 2023 as well as final year students in Fine Art. The deadline for applications is Friday 21 June 2024.
