From 1 April - 31 May 2026, Loughborough University is running an alumni survey. This is your chance to shape your alumni programme!
The Survey is a great chance for you to share what you enjoy reading about in our communications, what events you are interested in, and how you would like to engage with the University.
The Survey is open to all former students of Loughborough University (including Loughborough University London) and its former Colleges as well as donors to the University.
Its purpose is to gather feedback on our alumni and donor programme to inform future communications, opportunities and events.
It will take between 10 and 15 minutes to complete.
On completion of the survey, you can choose to enter a prize draw to win one of ten £100 vouchers!
Why your voice matters
At Loughborough University, we are keen to hear about your experience, learn more about our alumni population, and shape the future alumni programme based on what you would like to see.
Whether you are interested in events, would like to see more online activity, or are interested in donating, your views are important to us.
By completing the survey, your views and ideas will be combined with those of hundreds of other alumni to build an alumni programme fit for the future. Your insights are mean that we can create something that you are excited to engage with.
FAQs
What platform are you using to collect my data?
The Survey is hosted on JISC Online Surveys, a university-approved site. Data will be stored in the survey platform temporarily, and will be deleted six months after the survey has closed. Some of the data will be added to our alumni database in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
When will you update my contact information?
The contact information that you provide in the survey will be updated on your alumni record once the survey has closed. If you need to update your contact details or email preferences sooner, please complete our online update form or get in touch.
How will you store my answers?
Some answers are for the purposes of research only. We have indicated throughout the survey where your answers may be used/ stored. All of your contact information will be updated once the survey has closed, and we will store some information on the preferences that you have shared.
The survey won’t load on my desktop or phone.
If the Survey won’t open, please clear your cache/ cookies and try again. Alternatively, try to open the Survey in Private mode or use one of the following browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari. If you’re still having trouble, try a different device, or get in touch to let us know.
Do I need to be invited to complete the Survey?
No, you do not need to have an invitation to complete the Survey - it is open to all alumni.
If you are in contact with the University via email, you will receive communications about the Survey. Those communications will include your Alumni ID number. We will ask you for this in the Survey - but don't worry if you don't know yours. If you are not in email contact, you may receive an postcard inviting you to take part.
Anyone who is a former student or a donor to the University is welcome to take part and it is also a great way to reconnect with Loughborough if you are out of contact.
Should I complete the survey in one go?
Ideally, yes. However, the survey platform should remember your answers if you do need to step away from the site.
