Talk

An in-person talk and discussion on the author's latest novel.

*** This event is part of LU Literary Festival 2024 ***

Jasper Fforde, author of 17 published books, will be discussing his latest book, Red Side Story. With references to his earlier novels, Fforde will explore how he has used satire in allegory-fantasy to counterpoint political and social issues in the world today.

Jasper Fforde's work blends a range of genres, including fantasy, crime and sci-fi. He is most well-known for his Thursday Next series, beginning with his debut novel, The Eyre Affair, in 2001.

His most recent novel, Red Side Story, was published in February 2024 and is the second book in his Shades of Grey series. Fforde’s bestselling series explores a world whose hierarchies are based on the colour spectrum.

The event takes place in Loughborough Design School 017. Accessibility information is available here: LDS.0.17 | AccessAble
