Our courses

A sound knowledge of accounting and finance is the bedrock of any organisation. Our flexible, professionally accredited degree courses will help you gain an impressive range of sought-after skills to build a long and rewarding career in whichever path you choose.

Why choose Loughborough?

Professionally recognised

Both our courses in accounting and finance are professionally recognised.

Our Accounting and Financial Management BSc is accredited by all the major professional accounting bodies (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA and ICAEW), which means you will gain exemptions from some of the exams and can speed up your path to becoming fully qualified.

Our Finance and Management BSc is one of a small number of degrees in the UK to have CFA affiliated status. This means the content you are studying has had the CFA stamp of approval and will give you an extra head start if you want to get a job in securities, investment banking or fund management.

In addition, we’re consistently ranked as a top 10 university in national league tables. Loughborough Business School also holds triple-accreditation from AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA, which means you’ll be getting the highest quality of education, from teaching and research to student support and facilities.

Turning theory into practice

We offer more than just a degree. Our courses are designed to meet the needs of industry – influenced by our experience with hundreds of global corporate partners and the ground-breaking research of our internationally renowned academics. You’ll be working with partners and researchers who are out there making a difference – and can help you do the same.

Plus, we were one of the first business schools to embed a year-long paid placement for all our business undergraduates. You’ll have the chance to test out your skills and get hands-on experience in a relevant organisation, giving you an extra heads-up in the jobs market. Around a third of placement students are offered a graduate job with their placement employer.

You could also spend the year studying abroad, or spend six months on placement and six months studying abroad.

Or if you have aspirations to set up your own purpose-led venture, you can spend a year focusing on that as part of our 'Year in Enterprise' scheme.

Opening up a world of possibilities

Whatever you choose to study with us, you’ll gain a fantastic grounding in the fundamentals of your subject while also learning about new, more purpose-driven ways of working that will open up a world of possibilities for your career. Our graduates are now working in a range of roles, from auditors and consultants, to brokers and analysts. Just some of the organisations they are now working with include PwC, Deloitte, Grant Thornton, KPMG, Accenture and Amazon.
