Why choose Engineering at Loughborough?

Industry links

Our strong links with industry, our sponsorship scheme and placement opportunities mean many of our students are able to secure graduate-level jobs either directly from their placements or early in their final year. We also bring in leading speakers from industry to enrich the learning experience with real-life engineering challenges.

Professional accreditation

Our long-established degrees are accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and/or the Institution of Mechanical Engineering (IMechE), as well as being licensed by the UK Engineering Council. Graduates from an accredited engineering course will have achieved part or all of the underpinning knowledge for later professional registration as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng).
