Loughborough University Student Inspiration: Shortlisted for Engineering Award!

In celebration of International Women in Engineering Day (#INWED24) on June 23rd, Loughborough University is proud to highlight the achievements of Giuliana Borg, an architecture student. Giuliana, of Saunders Boston Architects, who has been shortlisted for the prestigious NextGen (Under 35) of the Year Award at the upcoming Eastern Echo Awards.

This recognition on #INWED24 perfectly embodies the theme of "Enhanced by Engineering." Giuliana's work exemplifies the significant contributions young women are making to the field of engineering, shaping a brighter future through their innovative ideas and dedication.

Giuliana says, “I am delighted to have been shortlisted for the NextGen of the Year Award at the 2024 Eastern Echo Awards. It has been an honour to be nominated during my placement, and I eagerly look forward to attending the event.”

The Eastern Echo Awards shortlist features nearly 50 individuals, projects, and companies across the Eastern region. The black-tie awards ceremony will be held on June 26th at Homerton College, Cambridge.
