Profile
My educational background is a BEng Civil Engineering with a First Class Honours from the University of Ilorin, and an MSc in Construction Management from Loughborough University. I have a PhD in Quantity Surveying Practice focused on Knowledge-Based Cost Modelling Systems and Offsite Construction from Birmingham City University.
Before joining Loughborough University, I worked with other Higher Education Institutions in the UK where I taught across Civil Engineering, Construction Management, and Quantity Surveying programmes. I am a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and have experience as a programme leader driving academic and quality standards in Higher Education. I am also a chartered member of the CIOB (MCIOB). I am currently researching in the areas of Offsite Manufacturing, Building Information Modelling, Digital Twin, Artificial Intelligence, Embodied Carbon monitoring, and Knowledge-based Engineering. Within the school, I am the Part Tutor for the First Year Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management Programme.
