Biography
Maryam was born in Iran and completed her Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences-Tehran-Iran. During her academic journey, she developed a keen interest in medicinal chemistry, which led her to undertake a significant research project as part of her pharmacy thesis from 2018 to 2020.
In her thesis, she focused on the synthesis and evaluation of novel compounds featuring oxadiazole rings. Her work aimed to develop dual inhibitors targeting both fatty acid amide hydrolase and soluble epoxide hydrolase. This innovative approach was designed to generate antinociceptive and anti-inflammatory effects, contributing to the advancement of therapeutic options for pain management and inflammation.
