This information sheet is for students. If you are a teacher, please email i.jones@lboro.ac.uk.

We would like you to be part of this study. Please read the information below and if anything is unclear ask your teacher for further information.

Who are we?

We are from Loughborough University and we are interested in finding out about your experiences in mathematics.

Who are we?

We want to know about students’ experiences in mathematics lessons, and how this links to ethnicity and culture. By asking lots of students about this, we can understand how well mathematics lessons suit every student.

What will I be asked to do?

You will answer the questions in our questionnaire. There are no right or wrong answers to the questions. Since everyone is different, it is important that your responses reflect your personal views so please be honest. If you need help or support at any time please speak to your teacher.

What will we do with your answers?

Your responses will be kept safe and secure. Nobody will know your answers to this survey as you do not need to give your name. Your parents, headteacher, teacher and friends will not be able to read what you answer.

Do I have to take part?

No, it is up to you. Even if you decide to take part, you can stop at any time by clicking the cross in the top corner of the webpage. You will not need to give a reason why.
