Spend your Bank Holiday Monday at LSU’s Freefest

Loughborough Students’ Union (LSU) will be hosting Freefest this Bank Holiday Monday (7 May).

Taking place at the Union - located on the Loughborough University campus – the free festival promises to bring a bit of summer to the town with a variety of exciting activities taking place on the day.

There’ll be live music on the Union Lawn from 12pm-6pm with a ‘Battle of the Bands’ style competition.

Or if Dance is more your genre, head to the John Coopers Beer Garden where the DJ Society will be keeping guests entertained.

For £1, guests can also take advantage of a Vintage Fair, where unique clothing and accessories will be available to purchase.

There will also be a BBQ on offer and tickets for the Graduate Ball will be on sale from 1pm.

Event organiser Ben Steward said: “Freefest is a fantastic opportunity to see a showcase of student and local talent; we have a great array of over 25 different artists, bands and DJs performing across three outdoor and indoor stages, starting at midday and finishing at 7pm.

“All are welcome to join us!”

Those interested in attending the event can simply just turn up, there’s no need to book.
