Artist working on art pieces

Atmospheric Forces Artist Residency

Radar hosts Sheila Ghelani and Sue Palmer at Loughborough University as they develop their new work, 'Atmospheric Forces'.

Staged as a performance taking place around a table, the work will incorporate objects, sound, film and spoken text. Atmospheric Forces is about the relationships between the forces that shape our lives, and the times we live in, such as minerals, air, colonialism, and human-nature relationships.

The residency will be held from Tuesday 23 until Friday 26 July, with a drop-in session on the Friday from 10am-12pm in the Martin Hall Gallery. This is free to attend and open to anyone who wants to learn more about the artists’ work. Booking is not required, so feel free to drop in for a cup of tea and a conversation.

The final performance work will be presented in Loughborough this Autumn. Supported by Arts Council England, UAL: Wimbledon College of Art and Radar, LU Arts.

If you can’t make the drop-in session and would like to learn more about this project then please email Radar curator Lucy Lopez at L.Lopez@lboro.ac.uk.
