Active Together events to be held on Loughborough campus

Loughborough University will host two sporting events later this month which will affect various areas of the Loughborough campus.

An athletics finals event, as part of the Active Together scheme, is being held on Thursday 20 June from 9am-5pm. This event will affect use of the HiPAC and Hazlerigg and Rutland car parks; staff should consider other locations in advance to avoid issues with parking. There are no road closures in place, however noise is expected during the hours the event is running.

The School Games Summer Festival will return to the Loughborough campus on Thursday 27 June from 7.45am-4pm. Around 850 young people from across Leicestershire, Leicester, and Rutland will participate in a range of County Finals. A number of facilities across campus will be in use, particularly in East Park, affecting many sports halls and pitches. All car parks will be subject to use, with partial road closure in place on the one-way system on Towers Way. Noise is expected during the opening and closing ceremonies on Shirley Pearce Square.
