Donate unwanted items in the Loughborough community

The Community Warden Team are running a collection drive to gather remaining food and toiletries that are left over at the end of the academic year.

Members of the Loughborough community can donate items to St Peters Church (on Storer Road) at their collection point, with members of the Community Warden Team also out on the street around the student triangle area on Monday 24 June between 12pm and 2pm.

The University, Loughborough Students’ Union (LSU), the Chaplaincy Team, and the Community Warden Team are collaborating to support Air Ambulance and local foodbanks. This initiative helps to reduce waste and products going into landfill, while also supporting the community.

Items being collected include:

  • Tinned food and other long shelf-life foods (unopened)
  • Sanitary products
  • Toiletries (eg shower gel)

If you would like to volunteer and support the food collection drive, please email J.Ardley@lboro.ac.uk.
