Are you ready to take charge of your career and enhance your professional skills? The Careers Network are excited to announce the return of their Autumn Careers Fair and Fest – a series of events designed to support you on your career journey.

Careers Fest

The Autumn Careers Fest is a six-week programme taking place from 30 September to 8 November. There will be various interactive events held for students both virtually and on-campus which are designed to help you:

  • Explore your career options
  • Meet potential employers
  • Apply for placements and jobs
  • Practice your interview techniques
  • Start your own business
  • Develop your existing skillset

These sessions will be led by our experts in the Careers Network and from employers across a variety of industries. For the latter, expect to hear from the likes of Deloitte, PwC, AWE and Mazars, and many other companies who will be offering a range of opportunities, as well as plenty of giveaways, freebies and competitions.

Careers Fair

The highlight of the Autumn Careers Fest is the Autumn Careers Fair, taking place on Monday 14 October from 2pm-7pm and Tuesday 15 October from 11am-4pm, in the Sir David Wallace Sports Hall.

Over 150 employers will be promoting graduate, internship, placement, vacation and volunteering opportunities within their organisations. There will be a range of top companies to speak to including Royal Air Force, GE Aerospace, Graduate Recruitment Bureau, Next, Capgemini, Procter & Gamble and many more.

Top tips to make the most out of the Fair:

  • Dress appropriately – make a great first impression
  • Bring along your CV – you can find guidance on polishing your CV on the Careers Network website
  • Keep an open mind your dream job could be working in a company that you may not have heard of before
