Apply for EDI Services funding

All Schools, Professional Services departments, Staff Networks and individuals are invited to bid for funding to carry out activities aligned with progressing Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) priorities at Loughborough.

Successful previous projects included:

  • Open Day workshops for BAME parents and guardians of prospective higher education students
  • A drag night featuring drag performers of colour
  • Facilitation and development of a student-led BAME support and social group in the School of Design and Creative Arts
  • A student-led community event exploring Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic student pathways into a PhD
  • A series of community-oriented art spaces at Loughborough University London
  • Funding places for Staff Network leads to attend the D&I Leaders Empowering Employee Networks Conference
  • Queer East Midlands Film Festival hosted by the LGBT+ Staff Network during LGBT+ History Month.

Please consider whether funding is already available for this activity in your School/Department before applying.   

How the process will work

Staff are invited to bid for funding using the application form.

There will be two opportunities over the year to make bids which will be considered by panels including colleagues who do not work in EDI Services:

  • The first panel will be on 23 October 2024. The deadline for applications to this panel is 16 October 2024.
  • The second panel will be on 23 January 2025. The deadline for applications to this panel is 15 January 2025.
