Equity, diversity and inclusion
Loughborough University recognises that people are our success, and our reputation is dependent on the commitment and excellence of our staff.
We are committed to achieving equity for all those who learn and work here, and wish to develop a demonstrably fair and supportive environment, which provides equality of opportunity and freedom from unlawful discrimination on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, ethnic origin, sex, gender identity, marital or civil partnership status, disability, sexual orientation, religion or belief, age, socio-economic background, or spent criminal convictions.
Staff Networks
Our Staff Networks are established and run by staff from all over the University, to help empower colleagues, build their confidence and sense of community, and provide them with a voice and influence across the University. We encourage employees to seek support through our Staff Networks.
Flexible working
The University is committed to enabling staff to maintain a healthy work-home balance and has a number of family-friendly policies.
We also offer an on-campus nursery with subsidised places and subsidised places at local holiday clubs.
In addition, the University is supportive, wherever possible, of dynamic working and flexible working arrangements.
