What does International Women in Engineering day mean to you?

  • It’s a day to celebrate the past and current achievements of women in engineering, and to reduce the stigma about female engineers. I also believe that it is important to celebrate everyone that supports and encourages female engineers.

Which Women in Engineering inspire you and why?

  • Beatrice Shilling was the British Aeronautical Engineer responsible for fixing and preventing the Hurricane’s Rolls-Royce Merlin engines from stalling during the Battle of Britain.

What advice do you have for women thinking of a career in Engineering?

  • What you decide to do with your future is your decision. Don’t let stone-age views from anyone put your career off course.
