PhD candidate within the School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering
I am reading for a PhD in the School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering. My research is focused on the importance of enhancing our driving experience to have safer roads. The aim is to develop a Collision Avoidance System algorithm to assist motorists by detecting obstacles in order to avoid collision.
Outside of work I enjoy travelling.

What does International Women in Engineering Day mean to you?

It is a day that recognises the efforts of women engineers in order to promote, support and encourage more young women to take up such subjects and to enter into engineering professions.
Which women in Engineering inspire you?

Mary Jackson – she was an African American mathematician and aerospace engineer at the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA), which became NASA.
What advice do you have for women considering a career in Engineering?

Engineering is a very exciting and rewarding career which gives you the opportunity to predict the future by creating it.
