Equipment - Stratasys Dimension Elite for Fused Deposition Modelling
The Stratasys Dimension Elite is used for Fused Deposition Modelling – a process trademarked by Stratasys. A thermoplastic (ABSplus) is heated and deposited through a nozzle under constant pressure in a continuous stream. The process is similar to 3D printing.
Layers are bonded by temperature control or by use of chemical agents. Parts are build by lowering of the platform with a support structure that dissolves in water-based solution.
