Teaching Facilities

The teaching lab has been designed to interactively teach the students the processes behind additive manufacturing. The teaching lab contains ten Up! 3D Printers (Denford Limited) with are connected to ten computers hosting Magics software (link to software) provided by Materialise which enables an easy conversion of CAD files into STL files needed for 3D printing → Info about AM.

Students can prepare their own STL files and then see their designs getting printed which gives them a hands-on experience. Students can also use the 3D printers to build their own projects which will be presented at the end of the term. The teaching lab has been recently refurbished to comply to the newest standards of interactivity.
