IOP event: Careers in the application of physics to medicine

This online event introduced over 150 physics undergrads and career changers to potential careers in medical physics.

Attendees heard from senior Medical Physicists about their varied careers, took part in a bespoke career planning workshop, and heard from early-career physicists working in medicine in the clinic, industry, and research institutions

It was great to see ARAMPG alumni Harry Allan and Saoirse Conroy sharing their careers experience working as a PhD student and an NHS STP trainee respectively. Both Saoirse and Harry were supervised by Dr Bugby in their final year undergraduate research projects.

Sarah arranged these events as part of her role on the Institute of Physics Medical Physics Group committee.
