Professor Gianluca Lo Coco

Gianluca Lo Coco is professor of clinical psychology at the University of Palermo, Italy. His research interests focus on eating disorders, body dissatisfaction, social media use, weight, and appearance comparison.
He is involved in many international projects on the effectiveness of psychosocial interventions for eating problems and mental health. In addition to his research, he works as a psychotherapist with adults and adolescents at the clinical service of the University of Palermo. He regularly offers conferences, training and clinical supervision.
During their IAS Fellowship, Professor Gianluca Lo Coco will be collaborating with Dr Hannah White from the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences.
