Our partners
Learn more about the organisations we work with to continue improve knowledge about Paralympic sport and to promote the substantial health and quality of life benefits that can be gained through participation in disability sport and physical activity.
We are grateful to the following organisations for their support in funding and supporting or work.
The Peter Harrison Foundation
The Peter Harrison Foundation works to:
- Develop opportunities for self-development through participation in sport and physical activity, especially activities for disadvantaged and disabled people in the UK;
- Support for children and young people in the Southeast of England, particularly those with special educational needs, disabilities or mental ill health; and
- Education, with a particular interest in supporting Harrison Scholarships and capital development at Reigate Grammar School.
The PHF have supported the Centre since 2004. This support has created a thriving and productive research unit that is internationally recognised in the field of para sport and health and wellbeing research.

The UK Sports Institute (UKSI) provides support services to British Olympic and Paralympic sports, enabling sports and athletes to realise potential and to achieve excellence.
UKSI and Loughborough University have pledged to collaborate in a broad range projects that seek to enhance Great Britain’s future Paralympic performance ambitions.
World Wheelchair Rugby
World Wheelchair Rugby (WWR) is the governing body responsible for the sport of Wheelchair Rugby.
We work with WWR to produce classification research and educational materials, as well as projects to increase female participation in wheelchair rugby and improve athlete welfare.
