SwiRL is a multi-disciplinary network of academics engaged in research relating to swimmers and swimming pools. Hosted within the top university in the world for sports-related subjects (QS global rankings, 2019), we bring together world-leading expertise in a diverse range of subjects to improve our understanding of the science and art of swimming and swimming pools. Our goal is to work with athletes and industry to produce high quality research to underpin innovation within performance and pool management and to enhance the pool environment for the benefit of all users.
