Webinar Programme
Webinar Series on Systems Research
Systems-NET seminars communicate some of the research being carried out in the UK in Systems Science and Systems Engineering. The broad and multidisciplinary seminar topics are intended to promote systems engineering understanding across different sectors.
Systems-NET acknowledges the support of the distinguished contributors that have kindly dedicated their time to prepare these seminars.

Training Events
The DANSE research project offered a series of no-cost public training events in Systems of Systems (SoS) engineering.
DANSE (Designing for Adaptability and evolutioN in Systems of systems Engineering) is one of several projects in SoS funded by the European Commission as part of the Seventh Framework Programme. DANSE is being executed by a consortium of twelve organizations to create new methodology and tools for managing the evolution of any SoS. The consortium partners include systems developers, technology developers, and research organizations. A three-year project, DANSE is just finishing the second successful year. The new methodology and tools developed are now being applied and tested within four actual “test case” SoS examples. You can find out more about DANSE at http://www.danse-ip.eu.
The training events made public the new methodology and tools, providing information to other system developers, technology providers, and researchers. All training was provided by webinar.
- DANSE Tools training was a total of 10 hours in five 2-hour sessions, with training provided by the technology partners who have created or integrated each tool. This event took place on 20-24 January.
- DANSE Methodology training was provided by Dr. Eric Honour of Honourcode, Inc., who has been an integral part of the methodology development in DANSE. This event was held in November 2013, and will be repeated along with the tools training in June 2014.
These training sessions are public and no-cost.

Future Seminar Events
We welcome group and individual contributions to present in the form of seminars aimed to the systems engineering community. We encourage the proposal of seminars from contributors in industry and academy. Seminars organised by different organisations can also be linked to Systems-NET for advertising and promotion. We need your participation to drive systems engineering research forward where it will deliver real impact.
If you would like to contribute with a seminar for the Systems-NET community please contact Dr Gema Styles g.styles@lboro.ac.uk your proposal will be much appreciated.
