Loughborough University hosts 2026 University Business Challenge Worldwide Semi-Finals

Two teams of Loughborough Business School students have featured in this year’s University Business Challenge (UBC) Worldwide Semi-Finals, hosted at Loughborough University.

The Universities Business Challenge is the world’s leading online simulation-based inter-university competition, designed to develop undergraduate and postgraduate employability and enterprise skills. Supported by leading universities and graduate employers, over 45,000 students have benefitted from taking part since 1998.

Hosted this year at Loughborough University, Loughborough Business School was represented in the challenge by two teams of five students.

Although unsuccessful in their attempt to reach the finals, both teams put in strong performances and demonstrated the knowledge and skills developed during their studies.

Academic Lead for Student and Graduate Enterprise, Dr Amanda Berry said: “I’m immensely proud of both teams for their achievement in reaching the competition semi-finals. The University Business Challenge is a fantastic opportunity for our students to push themselves and put theory into practice outside the classroom.”
