From January 1987 to December 2012, Grahame was a full-time academic at Loughborough University.
He taught on various undergraduate and postgraduate/post-experience programmes, principally covering risk finance and entrepreneurship, and he was also responsible for developing and delivering the UK version of an 'innovation algorithm' developed at North Carolina State University (NCSU). His research focused mainly on the financing of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), especially the provision of risk capital and government support for SMEs.
Grahame retired as Senior Lecturer at the end of 2012, but he accepted a post as Honorary Fellow in the School. He will maintain an active involvement with the School in supervising placement students.
Please note that he regrets that he is unable to take on new PhD students.
