Innovation Awards 2024
This School of Design and Creative Arts competition is an exciting enterprise initiative organised in partnership with leading industry contacts.
The competition presents a unique opportunity for you and your work to be directly introduced to and reviewed by industry contacts, and an opportunity to showcase your project’s commercial potential.
Our industry connections will view and critique your entries, and judge and award 'One to Watch' winners and an overall winner for each category (4 categories: Design, Fine Art, Graphics, and Textiles). The overall winners from each category will each win £500 and will be announced as part of the Degree Show Industry Event on 13 June 2024 and featured across the School of Design and Creative Arts social media channels.
Prizes & judges
- The entries will be judged by industry contacts in the programme area.
- The judges will award a "One to Watch" winner each, and collaboratively decide on an overall winner.
- The overall winner from each category will win £500.
The brief
- Produce a 1-minute (or less) video pitch to highlight the commercial potential of your FYPD/FMP.
- Create a 100-word written summary to support your video.
- Upload your video to YouTube as unlisted and enable embedding on the post.
Who can enter?
- This competition is open to final year Design and Creative Arts UG students.
- It is not compulsory to enter the competition, but it is an ideal opportunity for you to bring your projects story to life and present it to leading industry contacts.
Submission details
- Submit your video link and written summary by midnight on 30 May 2024.
