Background
My work harnesses and further develops technologies to enhance teaching and research across the Wolfson School at Loughborough University. I recognise the importance of developing education to fuel innovation and expertise for the future of our students and see that our research positively impacts the world today in terms of sustainability, inclusivity and access.
My teaching and research are focused on electrical engineering. Technology directly supports the achievement of new goals in both.
My research within the Centre for Renewable Energy Systems Technology (CREST) has developed remote laboratories enabling students at all levels of study to carry out photovoltaic experiments from anywhere in the world.
I teach undergraduate and postgraduate electrical engineering students and am the Director of Studies for Postgraduate Taught courses across the school.
I am passionate about enhancing student learning and experience through exceptional teaching. It is important to me to constantly seek ways to improve the learning quality and experience of students, academics and engineers, increasing opportunities and inclusivity through technology. I lead academics to use technologies to enhance their students' deeper learning and engagement to increase flexible learning opportunities and make engineering expertise more widely accessible.
