50 years of Sport and Exercise Sciences
This academic year marks 50 years since the first mixed cohort BSc in PE, Sports Science and Recreation Management in 1975–76.
From our first mixed cohort BSc in PE, Sports Science and Recreation Management in 1975–76, to becoming world leaders in the field, we have come a long way. This milestone year is a chance to reflect on our journey, celebrate our achievements, and look ahead to the future.
We will celebrate the past, present, and future of our discipline with a number of activities across the year to celebrate this milestone.
As part of the celebrations we are hosting a two-day conference-style event to celebrate our successes and look to the future. Unfortunately due to space constraints we cannot include everyone who would like to be there in person. We will be streaming the talks live over the two days and would invite you to join us online to listen. Access details will appear here the day before the event. Please note the programme is subject to change.
