Disability accommodation for undergraduate clearing students

Undergraduate clearing students with any physical or mental health conditions should let us know of their needs as soon as possible.

If you have accepted a place to study at Loughborough University through Clearing, we guarantee you on-campus accommodation for your first year of study.

Follow our simple step-by-step guide to tell us about your needs and register an accommodation account before the accommodation application system opens on 19 August.

Step one - Tell us about your needs

Complete the Disability and Health Portal to provide us with information about any physical or long-term mental health conditions you have and upload the required evidence. This will be assessed by our Student Wellbeing and Inclusivity team.

We will consider your room requirements, and your preferences, when looking at room allocation.

It is important that you complete the Disability and Health portal as soon as possible to process your requested accommodation adjustments as early as we can.

Step two - Register

Register an account on the Accommodation Hub. Our online reservation system will guide you through the short registration process. You will receive a confirmation email when you have registered your account.

Step three - Preference your room options

Our room preference system will open at 10:00 BST on 19 August 2024 for clearing students. You can log in to the Accommodation Hub and select five preferences based on an area of the campus, a room type and catering option.

Accommodation is allocated based on availability, the preferences you select and the date you make your application. We will always do our best to match your room preferences, but this is subject to availability and may not always be possible.

If you are not able to see a room which meets your requirements, contact the Student Accommodation Centre to discuss your options.

Please note: If you have not completed the Disability and Health portal before the day of your August time slot, you must do so within 48 hours. The Student Accommodation Centre cannot discuss your room options until you complete the Disability and Health portal. We cannot guarantee that we will meet all of your preferences, but we will do our best with the remaining availability of rooms.

Step four - Accept your accommodation offer

When you have an accommodation offer, you will then need to log in to the Accommodation Hub to accept this offer within 5 days. By accepting the contract, you will be entering into a legally binding agreement with the University - your landlord.
