Disability accommodation for postgraduate students

If you have any long-term physical or mental health conditions which affect your choice of accommodation, you must let us know of your needs as soon as possible. This way we can allocate you to a room that best meets your disability requirements.

Follow our simple step-by-step guide to tell us about your needs and register an accommodation account.

Step one - Tell us about your needs

Complete the Disability and Health Portal to provide us with information about any physical or long-term mental health conditions you have and upload the required evidence. This will be assessed by our Student Wellbeing and Inclusivity team.

It is important that you complete the Disability and Health portal as soon as possible to let us know how we can best support you.

Step two - Register

Register an account on the Accommodation Hub. Our online reservation system will guide you through the short registration process. You will receive a confirmation email when you have registered your account.

Step three - Your accommodation offer

When you meet the conditions of your offer to study, you can book a room in our accommodation from mid-February through the Accommodation Hub.

If you are not able to see a room which meets your requirements, contact the Student Accommodation Centre to discuss your options.

The accommodation team will then contact you with an accommodation offer of a room we believe meets your disability related requirements, and your personal preferences.

You will need to log in to the Accommodation Hub to accept this offer within 5 days. By accepting the contract, you will be entering into a legally binding agreement with the University - your landlord.
