I need a reference...

About academic references for students and alumni

An academic reference is a document which you can use as evidence to, say, a potential employer that you studied at Loughborough.

How do I obtain a reference if I am no longer a student? (Self-Alumni Request)

If you require an academic reference from a particular tutor or for a particular piece of completed work, please contact the School in which you studied with. If you are not sure which school to contact, please contact Student Enquiries and provide us with as much relevant information as possible. Please include your:

  • full name,
  • date of birth,
  • course details and
  • former student number,

as this will allow us to access your record and process your request faster.
