Applying for accommodation

We have three self-catered halls of residence available to our postgraduate students. Accommodation is available either on or a short walk from campus and rooms are let on a 50-week basis. With competitive rents and a friendly and supportive atmosphere, halls are a great choice if you're looking for accommodation.

Although halls accommodation is not guaranteed, we promise to help you secure University allocated accommodation either on campus or by referral to an off campus approved provider.

The following information is for students starting in October 2024. If you are starting in January 2025, more information about your accommodation options will be on our announcements' page closer to your start date.

Postgraduate applicants

Postgraduate students can register their account on the Accommodation Hub online now.

If you have an unconditional offer, you can apply for accommodation from mid-February. If you have a conditional offer, you can reserve your accommodation when the conditions of your postgraduate course have been met and our accommodation systems have been updated. Please allow 24 hours for the accommodation system to update before applying.

When you select a room it will be held for 15 minutes for you to complete the reservation. If you do not complete the reservation in that time, it will be released, and you will need to make a new selection.

Once you have reserved a room online, you will have 5 days to review and accept the offer. You will need to enter your login username and password that you created when you registered to accept your contract online. At this point you will be entering into a legally binding agreement with the University - your landlord.

You will be sent an email confirming your contract via the email address you specified on your University application.

It's important that you

  • Confirm your room by accepting the terms and conditions and online contract.
  • Complete the online induction and book your arrival slot (available from late August).

We're here to help, so if you experience any problems applying for your accommodation, please contact us.
