Safeguarding people in, around and through sport
"As a passionate and active researcher in the field of human rights and athlete welfare, I am interested about the ways in which we can work to safeguard people in, around and through sport. My research has been fundamental to the development of the International Safeguards for Children in Sport, which are now endorsed by over 80 organisations around the world."
"Learnings from my research are at the heart of the Research Methods in Sport and Exercise module that I deliver. My research informs teaching through discussing real life examples of research planning, navigating ethical issues, data collection and analysis through to dissemination and impact. With experience collaborating with, and providing consultancy for, a range of National Governing Bodies, charities and foundations, I am equipping to students to make successful research contributions to issues related to their chosen area of sporting industries."
"Graduates of this course develop both expertise in the social sciences of sport and an excellent grounding in the research methods used to study related topics."
