Reader in Porous Media

Diganta is a ‘Reader in Porous Media’ with research interests in water treatment and drug delivery. He is an Elected Fellow of the UK’s Royal Society of Biology and Royal Society of Chemistry and currently serves as an editor of the journal ‘Water Supply’.

Senior Lecturer in Biocrystallisation

Dr Huaiyu is a Senior Lecturer in Biocrystallisation. His multi-disciplinary research interests include biocrystallisation, biopharmaceuticals, and biotechnology. He spent years on research and education before at Imperial College London, Strathclyde University and KTH Royal Institute of Technology.

Dr Karen Coopman

Reader in Biological Engineering

A Reader in Biological Engineering, Karen leads a team of researchers that aim to address the challenges of manufacturing cell-based therapies, including how we can successfully preserve cells to create off-the-shelf therapies and improve how we monitor cell quality during processing.

Professor in Industrial Biotechnology and MSc Programme Leader for Bioengineering

Danish is an international expert in developing scalable manufacturing platforms for next-generation biotherapeutics. He has a strong record of bridging the translational gap between fundamental science and applied settings with his research within respiratory, gastrointestinal and wound infections.
