The Physical Activity and Nutrition for Public Health MSc will be designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the evidence around the role of physical activity and nutrition in public health, practical epidemiological skills around study design methods, and the skills to consider the implications of both physical activity and nutrition on the development and prevention of lifestyle related illnesses of groups, communities, and populations.
The aim is to integrate employability into the programme by embedding case-based learning or employability skills within the modules to align with real-world challenges after consultation with leading professionals across the sector. Examples of such learning could be designing tenders, developing public health improvement plans, communicating complex information in clear ways and synthesising evidence.
