I feel like my time at Loughborough has really helped prepare me for the future. There are so many opportunities to gain experience, whether through paid roles or volunteering, which all add to your skills. Being involved in different things has helped me grow in confidence and develop professionally. The university really encourages you to take advantage of what’s on offer. Overall, I feel much more prepared to move into a graduate role.
I’d love to go into a rotational graduate scheme where I can experience different areas of a business. I think it’s a great way to build a broad understanding and figure out what suits you best. I’m keen to keep learning and developing my skills in a practical setting. Having that variety early on in my career really appeals to me. Ultimately, I want to find a role where I can continue to grow and challenge myself.
To me, ‘Progress with Purpose’ is about being proud of what you’ve achieved while still wanting to keep improving. It’s about setting goals that actually mean something to you and working towards them in a way that feels worthwhile. I think it also means making the most of opportunities and learning from your experiences. Progress isn’t just about the end result, but how much you grow along the way. For me, it’s about always aiming higher while appreciating how far I’ve come.
