The School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering houses one of the largest centres for built environment education in the UK. We bring together outstanding facilities, superb teaching and excellent industry links to ensure that you are ready for your future career.
All of our facilities are maintained by a dedicated and highly trained team of multidisciplinary technical assistants who can provide instruction on the safe use of the equipment.
The School houses its own design studio and computer laboratory to support the specialist teaching on these courses. At over 3,000 square metres, our purpose-built, open-plan laboratory is one of the largest in the UK, benefitingfrom £1 million in refurbishment and new equipment in the last five years, from brand new digital fabrication and design suites, laser cutters and state-of-the-art robotic arms through to traditional workbenches and hand tools.
