Architecture Interview Days

Thank you for your application to study within the School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering. We were impressed with your application and congratulate you on receiving an interview invitation.

Interviews are an opportunity for us to find out more about you and your interest in studying Architecture at Loughborough. It's also the perfect chance for you to find out more about our course, the campus, the student experience we are famed for and ask our teaching staff and current undergraduate students any questions you may have.

Please ensure you bring a copy of your portfolio along with you on the day of your interview.

Choosing the right university is a major decision. As a parent, guardian, older sibling or even a supportive friend, we understand that you want to support your loved one through this important time and help them decide on a course and university that they'll enjoy and flourish in. So, why not join us, to find out more about the course and ask our teaching staff and current undergraduate students any questions you may have. We kindly request no more than two guests join.

Travelling to Loughborough

Travelling by car

  • Please note if you are travelling by car, you will need to pre-register your vehicle to park for free. Please visit APCOA and use the promotional code 'ABCE.'
  • M1: Loughborough is situated just off Junction 23 of the M1 in Leicestershire, mid-way between Leicester and Nottingham. Visitors are requested to head for the West Entrance to the University, and take the first exit at the first roundabout.
  • Please also see our how to find us page for more driving instructions.
  • A6 from North and South: follow signs for Loughborough, then University and/or Nanpantan.
  • A60 from Nottingham or A511 from Leicester or Burton: follow signs for Loughborough, then University and/or Nanpantan.
  • Please park in Car Park 1.

Pay Machine

  • There is a cashless pay machine located in car park 1. You may register your vehicle on the day using promo code 'ABCE' to park for free.

Travelling by train or coach

  • You will need to purchase a train ticket to Loughborough railway station via The Trainline or East Midlands Railway. Then, you will need to catch the bus to the university.
  • A University Sprint service operates between the university, town centre and railway station every 15 minutes. When travelling to us, ask for the university and get off at the Wolfson School bus stop within the campus grounds (this is where you will catch the bus at the end of the day).
  • A taxi stand also operates from the railway station, ask for the university (taxi fare approx. £8 - £10). If you wish to order a taxi for your return journey, please do so upon arrival at the registration desk or as soon as you are able.
  • Coach travellers may arrive at Loughborough (The Rushes) which is also the bus stop for the University Sprint service (see above). Other coach services such as Megabus will drop you off outside the University.

Travelling by aeroplane 

  • Nottingham East Midlands Airport is a 20-minute taxi ride from Loughborough University.
  • A Skylink service runs from Nottingham East Midlands Airport to Loughborough town centre, where you will need to connect with the University Sprint service (see travelling by train and coach for further instructions).
