Additional award
This course comes with the option to undertake a year in enterprise, at the end of which you will gain a Diploma in Professional Studies (DPS). This is an additional award to the final qualification you will receive once you have successfully completed this course.
If you like the sound of a self-employed placement year turning your business idea into reality, our Year in Enterprise scheme will allow you to do just that.
This is an alternative to a professional placement or study abroad programme. You will receive support, training and mentoring to help you succeed.
Examples of the sorts of businesses our students have set up include:

- property
- mountain bikes
- art and illustration
- robots
- delivery boxes
- education software.
Competition for the limited amount of places is fierce, however there is a lot support to work through the feasibility of your idea before you apply in year two.
We offer exceptional support throughout the year, ranging from workshops, mentoring and academic support to a training boot camp.
