Our course offers a seamless journey from foundational studies to advanced professional expertise, preparing you to become an architect equipped for the challenges of the future. The programme aligns with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) Master’s level educational requirements within their framework for “Tomorrow’s Architects”, as well as the educational requirements of registration with the Royal Institute of British Archtiects (RIBA).

The course is taught over four years, and after your second year you can choose to take a placement year in industry or spend a year studying abroad.

The course combines immersive studio culture, supported by a dedicated team of architectural practitioners, with real-world scenarios and research-led learning. Founded on Loughborough’s 100 years of ‘theory and practice’ culture, it blends academic excellence with hands-on experience. 

The degree will also allow you to study with experts in their field and other students in the School and wider University to mimic real-life work scenarios, harnessing our internationally-renowned expertise across the built environment disciplines, including construction, engineering, and building energy.
