Our Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying students can undertake industrial training. Most placements are fully salaried, with typical pro rata salaries from £17,000 to £22,000.
To help secure a placement, our students can liaise with members of the Loughborough Construction Consortium, a network of construction companies that offer sponsorship, work placements, graduate roles and practical experience.
Your placement year will give you a clearer understanding of the construction industry to help with the later stages of your studies and to direct your future career.

Recent student placement destinations include Balfour Beatty, Kier, Taylor Woodrow, Lendlease, Vinci, Bam, Costain, Sir Robert McAlpine, London Projects, Arcadis, Morgan Sindall, Murphy, Walter Lilly, Laing O’Rourke, Eurovia, and Mace.
Additional award
This course comes with the option to undertake an industrial placement for a year, at the end of which you will gain a Diploma in Industrial Studies (DIS). This is an additional award to the final qualification you will receive once you have successfully completed this course.
