If you have an idea for a business, I’d say just go for it. University is the perfect opportunity to try out your idea without the fear of failure. You can learn from the staff, the enterprise support networks, alumni, and other students.
I used to be a GB artistic swimmer but as that’s one of the few sports there isn’t a society for at Loughborough, I decided to take up Lacrosse. I’ve grown to love the sport and have been the Captain for the last three years. There are loads of opportunities to get involved in societies and teams, regardless of your ability level. I even had the chance to climb Mount Kilimanjaro during my time here. This summer I will be the group leader for the Loughborough University Trek to Everest Base Camp – these are once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, so embrace them while you have the chance!
